Sunday Funday 4/6

Happy Sunday Funday!
As fun as Sunday is doesn't it seem
like the weekends just fly by?
I have no idea why Monday and Tuesday
can't feel like Saturday and Sunday?

Molly and I are so excited to have you
 back for another week.
My week was fun-ish, but not crazy fun.
We are in the throws of Open House prep
so I may be looking a bit harried these days.
Good thing you all can't see me!
Stay tuned for a post on all the fun poetry fun
we have had in first grade though!

This week was super long let me tell ya!
I went to a SDE conference 2.5 hours away on Monday. That's a total of 5 hours of driving plus all the conference time. Yawn! When I woke up Tuesday morning I could not believe that I still had the entire work week ahead of me. Somehow I made it through though. 9 more school days until Spring Break in these parts! The conference was wonderful. I got some great new ideas I was able to implement right away! That's a huge win! And I got my principal to agree to letting my go to the I Teach 1st conference in Vegas this summer.
I'll already be there for the Teachers Pay Teachers conference, but now i just upped my fun and excitement.

So, yes, conference was all well and good. But, lets talk about a truly special experience I got to have while I was away. I made my first trip to Hobby Lobby!! We only have two in New England and neither are close to me. If you recall, I'm the gal whose Target is almost an hour away. Weep!
Needless to say, I LOVED it! I love finding cutesy home decor and this placed rocked it!
The bench was ours already. But, everything is is impatiently waiting for me to hang it! Today, guys, I promise! That cute little pear number has a button missing which I could easily hot glue on. I told the cashier and got it for 66% off...Thank you very much!

The other fun bit that happened this week with just an hour to spare before the clock struck April was my April Math Workshop was completed! I always forget how busy this time of year can cards, birthday parties, open house prep. this little number just kept getting pushed to the back burner! No more though- Here it is!!
All my math workshops are PRINT & GO! You just need to add a bit of dice, cards and a paper clip spinner and you are ready to rock. They are also reusable! Your kidlets can return to them again and again because they will be making new numbers with their dice, cards or spinner. It's never the same sheet twice!
We did the "Hatching Equations" worksheet this week. The kids roll two dice OR pick two cards and make a number sentence in Chick A. Then they need to create a different number sentence in Chick B that equals the same as Chick A. By golly, they FINALLY understood this concept. A single tear make have streamed down my cheek as I checked their work.

Here's a peek of everything inside.
I'm sure you all love a deal as much as the next guy.
You can get all my Math Workshops in Math Workshop- The Bundle.
It's a steal of a deal at $3.50 per month.

Before I leave you to your Funday I just wanted to let you know
They'll be a special goodie coming to your inbox later this week!
That's fun for sure!
