Beware the Ides of March

Nice to see you again Friday!
This week was in slow motion for me!
Anyone else?
It's a bad sign when it's Wednesday and you think it's Thursday.
We are right in the throws of all that is March...
long, cold and gray.

Let's link up to take our minds off the fact that it is freezing out!

We had some St. Patrick's Day fun in grade one this week.
I used some great resources from two great gals-
Jen at First Grade Blue Skies and Aimee at Primarily Speaking.
Jenn has a super freebie tutorial on a directed drawing of a leprachaun.
Our writing used the "If I Found a Pot of Gold"prompt.
This was from Aimee's "Write On- Spring Edition"
Her pack is loaded with awesome organizers, writing papers and crafts
to slide you right towards the end of school. Whoop Whoop!
I love looking at these. They make me feel so happy
even though there is snow on the ground.
I'm also linking this little activity up with my friend
for her St. Pattys Day linky.
Go check out her post.
She has some awesome St. Patrick's Day crafts
going on!

Report cards are looming in the distance of next week!
Eek..how did those get here so fast.
I have been pleased as punch to be using my
Common Core Quickies- Grade One Math
to assess the students understanding of their current math skills.

There are 4 mini assessments for each standard.
The assessments are in a range of levels for your students.
You can read even more about them HERE.
Don't forget about the awesome product swap going on!
I was lucky enough to share a product with Christy of Crayons and Whimsy.
Click here to read more about it and enter to win all these products
plus much much more!
Go Fast- this ends soon!!
To cap off my week I came home Friday from
work and the gym to see my littlest like this.
I hear ya sista! TGIF!
psst...
Don't forget about Sunday Funday!
It's a pretty simple link.
Do anything fun and
write a post about it!
Easy as pie!
That's appropriate because it is Pi Day!

  1. Those directed drawings of leprechans are adorable! We did a guided drawing of Lincoln last month. The we used water colors to paint him. Super cute :-) Your Sunday linky sounds like fun too! I'll try to link up.

  2. I thought I was the only one who felt like the weeks are starting to drag by! We don't have spring break for another month. It's survival mode for me right now. My report cards go home next week too. And oops, I just happened to leave my grade book at school. Guess I will be burning the midnight oil next week! Enjoy your weekend!

  3. That poor swetie was tired :( That is how I feel around 3:30 every day. Thank goodness she has not discovered coffee.
